Each autumn, new footprints are added to the Tartu Pioneers’ Alley. Candidates for Pioneers are set up and voted both by residents of Tartu and by a prestigious jury. Bronze footprints are created by the sculptor Bruno Kadak.
The Tartu Pioneers' Alley
The Tartu Pioneers’ Alley meandering next to the Tasku Centre was established in 2010 in order to recognise people with a connection to Tartu who have significantly contributed to the development, presentation or acknowledgement of Tartu with their work or other actions.
